Disasters often strike without warning, leaving deep sorrow and uncertainty for those affected. This is also the reality faced by communities in Aceh and North Sumatra, who once again have witnessed the devastating force of nature. Environmental degradation caused by illegal logging and irresponsible practices has worsened the impact of flooding, making these areas increasingly vulnerable when disasters occur.
Amid these challenging conditions, many residents are forced to survive with very limited facilities. One of the most urgent needs is access to clean water, which has become a significant challenge for communities in the affected areas.
As a form of commitment and care, Lintas Group has taken the initiative to provide access to clean water for those in need. Through the development of water distribution networks and storage facilities, this program is designed to help restore essential daily functions while also strengthening community resilience in the aftermath of the disaster.
To date, Lintas Investama Group has established two clean water installation points in affected areas:
- Desa Terban, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang
- Desa Landuh, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang
Moving forward, Lintas Investama plans to expand this program to four additional locations: - Desa Bukit Rata
- Desa Sekerak Kiri
- Desa Tupah
- Desa Tanjung Karang
All of these villages are located in Aceh Tamiang Regency and are classified as flood-affected areas requiring long-term recovery support.
Through this small yet meaningful initiative, Lintas Investama hopes to help ease the burden on affected communities, while contributing to the restoration of quality of life, supporting economic activities, and strengthening social resilience in disaster-impacted areas.
